availability
There is no extra charge for bringing your dog to The Green but we do ask you to observe a few simple requests:

- If sheep or livestock are present keep your dog on a lead.
- Clean up after your dog especially on the village green.
- Keep dogs off beds and other furniture.

It would help the cleaners prepare the flat for the next guests if you could vacuum up pet hair before you leave.

Dog Friendly
As dog owners ourselves we understand the importance of bringing your dogs with you for the annual family holiday. Nothing can spoil a holiday more than worrying whether the family pet is pining away in kennels missing his or her family.

The Green is located in the beautiful North Yorkshire village of Hutton-le-Hole just inside the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Our 3 apartments were refurbished recently so as to be awarded 4 stars by Visit Britain and remain totally dog friendly.  Flat A and Flat B are both 2 bedroom apartments and can accommodate 4 people and 2 dogs each: our self contained studio flat can accommodate a couple with 1 dog. You will find more details on the Home Page.

Once you have settled in you have many choices of where to go for a stroll. Very close to The Green there is an area of moorland made available by the Spaunton Estate where dogs can be exercised off lead if kept under proper control. For details please click here.

For those of you going further afield you have many choices including the Moors, Dalby Forest and The Coast. The National Park produces 2 leaflets to help you find appropriate walks:

- Leaflet 1
- Leaflet 2

Dalby Forest welcomes dog walkers and can be found above Pickering on the Pickering to Whitby Road. Dog walkers have the freedom to roam throughout the forest with the only exception being play areas for children.  Dog watering points at the Visitor Centre and Courtyard provide welcome relief.

For those of you who like to take your dog on the beach we recommend Sandsend, just above Whitby. There may be times when dogs are not allowed on certain beaches.
